Nigerian Afro-pop music sensation, Wizkid, and Canadian rap star, Drake, set the stage on fire when they recently performed their hit collaboration, ‘Come Closer’ at the 20,000 capacity O2 Arena in London, UK.
This is the first time both of them would be performing the song together on stage since it was released in 2017. The international rap star brought Wizkid on stage to add more adrenalin to the mammoth crowd already getting serenaded and both stars performed the song energetically, sending the fans haywire with their electrifying performance.
This will be Wizkid’s second time performing at the O2 Arena. First was when he made history in 2018, by being the first African to hold a sold-out show at the prestigious arena.
As the performance drew to a close, a visibly thrilled Drake said, “I need one more song”, indicating his intention to perform another song with Wizkid. The DJ obliged and the song ‘Soco’ began to blare from the speakers. It was nothing short of a scintillating performance.
This performance was in completion of Drake’s five province tour of Canada which saw him thrilling his fans in Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto.
Meanwhile, Wizkid has hinted, during an interview, that he would soon collaborate with Drake on another song.
