The First Trailer for Shailene Woodley’s Sailboat Survival Movie Is Here and Great

It’s still cold and snowy in much of the United States, but the first signs of spring are finally starting to appear. Premiering later this year, Adrift tells the true story of Tami Oldham (Shailene Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Sam Claflin), a couple who decide to sail from Tahiti to San Diego but get stopped on the way by Hurricane Raymond. Anyway, the trailer has everything — romance, action, tragedy, big CGI waves, Shailene Woodley using a sextant, etc. It looks like the sort of movie that will make you experience the full range of human emotion in two hours, so plan accordingly, by which I mean bring tissues and don’t schedule anything too strenuous afterward.

Adrift hits theaters on June 1.
