Even though she hasn’t released any new music or toured in the last 12 months, Adele’s fortune is reported to have grown by £15 million over the past year.
The London-born singer is said to now be worth £140 million, up from £125 million the previous year. A 121-date tour which ended in the summer of 2017 netted her £42 million alone.
Back in 2015, when she released her album 25, she reflected that she was still living the same, low-key life as before, but now shopped at Waitrose rather than Tesco.

She said: ‘I want to have a real life so I can write records. No one wants to listen to a record from someone that’s lost touch with reality. So I live a low-key life for my fans.’
Yet three years on it’s clear that she has grown into her status as one of the world’s wealthiest women. So what does she spend it on?
Now almost entirely resident in Los Angeles, she travels by £50 million private jet, favours pricier yellow diamonds rather than boring white ones and is thought to have a staff which includes a stylist, personal trainer, assistant and a bodyguard — or two.
Her house is around the corner from close pal Jennifer Lawrence, the Oscar-winning actress, and her 30th birthday party this spring was themed around the film Titanic and featured a specially made set to look just like the ballroom from the film.

The cost? Estimated at £250,000. The flowers alone for the wedding bash she threw for her pal Alan Carr in January were said to have cost around £10,000 — and were apparently created by the Kardashians’ favourite florist, Jeff Leatham.
And all that’s before you get into her stupendous designer handbag collection, which is worth more than £50,000.
Let’s tot up what it costs to live the diva life.
Naturally, Adele has a security team who can be seen accompanying her when she pops to the shops or goes out for dinner.
In Los Angeles this spring, her man-mountain was seen carrying her bags back to the car, along with a woman who is believed to be her personal assistant.
There is a larger team when she is touring. The security is said to be co-ordinated through Gavin de Becker, who runs Hollywood’s leading close protection outfit and also runs security for Sir Paul McCartney and the Beckhams.
Adele made an offer of £5.2million on a oceanfront mansion in Malibu, California
In 2015 when she was undertaking a global promotional tour, she hired Lady Gaga’s old bodyguard, hunky Pete van Der Veen.
It would be highly unusual if she didn’t also have a chef and nanny in the staff quarters of her home, just like her close friends Robbie Williams and his X Factor judge wife Ayda Field, whom she sees a lot.
Some of her staffing expenses will be met by her record company and tour promoters, but in all this will cost not less than £250,000 a year.
Adele loves designer handbags and was seen out this summer with a classic Ophidia design Gucci bag costing £765. She also has the massive Gucci houndstooth tote, which costs £2,000.
Other bags in her collection include a capacious patchwork leather number by Celine, a Jimmy Choo Rosabel (£975), a jumbo padded Chanel bag (£1,200) and numerous smaller Chanel over-the-shoulder bags, plus ones from Louis Vuitton and Mulberry, as well as a Burberry Prorsum Knight studded handbag, which costs £1,156.

She’s also been seen carrying what looks like a classic Birkin in tan leather, costing around £15,000.
She loves designer shoes and boots, too. Even the low-key canvas sneakers she wore out to dinner in May were designer — by Yves Saint Laurent — and cost £600. She has a pair of leather lace-up Chloe boots which she loves and set her back £920.
Her favourite sunglasses are by Linda Farrow and cost £475.
In addition to stylist Gaelle Paul who picks out her clothes, she has worked with make-up artist Michael Ashton for a decade. Day to day, though, she tends not to wear any make-up.
Stylist Daniela Neil did her famously bouncy hair for the video for Hello, but she more often turns to Hollywood’s ‘It’ hair stylist Chris Appleton, who also looks after the Kardashians and Jennifer Lopez, and does Ariana Grande’s pony tails.
When she was based in London she had her hair done by Lino Carbosiero, MBE — the Daniel Galvin stalwart who also looks after David Cameron, Hillary Clinton and Sharon Osbourne.
She has sessions with personal trainer Pete Geracimo, particularly when preparing for her tours.
Adele has been named as a client of the Drip Doctors in Los Angeles who give intravenous vitamin boosts. Their popular Limitless drip contains antioxidant glutathione and vitamins C and B-complex, and costs £180 — but you can double that price if you require a house call.
She is a fan of crystals, and said that when she performed in 2016 she had some in her hand.
Adele has had at least two courses of hypnotherapy to try and help her stop smoking, one with Susan Hepburn and one with Max Kirsten.

For a time she used the food company Pure Package in an attempt to lose weight. It provides calorie-controlled meals delivered to the doorsteps of the rich and famous at a cost of thousands a year.
However she is now said to follow the ‘Sirt’ food diet, encouraged by her personal trainer.
This plan promotes eating foods high in the protein sirtuin. This includes apples, citrus fruits, parsley, capers, blueberries, green tea, soy, strawberries, turmeric, olive oil, red onion, rocket and kale. Red wine and dark chocolate are permitted.
More seriously, Adele has twice suffered serious and potentially career-ending issues with her voice, and has turned to leading specialists in Boston for surgery. In 2011 she had a haemorrhage to her vocal cords after singing live on a French radio show. She had vocal cord microsurgery carried out by Dr Steven Zeitels, whom she thanked a few weeks later from the stage at the Emmys.
Last June she cancelled her final, sold out shows at Wembley Stadium after discovering that she had once again damaged her vocal cords.
‘To say I’m heartbroken would be a complete understatement’ she wrote in a personal message to her fans.
She is singing again — she came to London this summer for a couple of months and worked on material for a new album which might come out next year.
However it seems very unlikely that she will risk straining her voice again with a tour, no matter how lucrative.
Adele, pictured above, passed her driving test in 2013. She said: ‘I want to have a real life so I can write records. No one wants to listen to a record from someone that’s lost touch with reality. So I live a low-key life for my fans’
She has been offered a residency in Las Vegas by Caesar’s Palace who are looking at who might take over when Elton John finally retires.
The proffered pay is said to be a staggering £500,000 a night and she discussed doing it with singer Celine Dion when they met in Vegas in January this year. But at the moment the answer seems to be no.
How does a superstar travel? By private jet, of course. While on tour in 2017 she was seen using a white Gulfstream G650 — the ne plus ultra of private jets.
It seats around eight passengers, depending on how the interior is configured and can fly long range, i.e. from Los Angeles to the UK or New Zealand. They cost £50 million new and £35 million secondhand, but its likely that it will have been hired for her and this costs around £12,000 an hour.
The London-born singer, who is still a fan of the Spice Girls, is said to now be worth £140 million, up from £125 million the previous year
Adele passed her driving test in October 2013 and within weeks she visited the Porsche Centre in Chiswick, West London, to order a Porsche Cayenne 4×4.
The £100,000 car is black with a leather interior, has personalised stitching. Within six months she bought a black Range Rover. She seems to have a selection of black Range Rovers on both sides of the Atlantic.
Perhaps nothing sums up Adele’s new super-luxe life better than her 30th birthday party in March.
Adele dressed as Rose, the heroine of the Titanic film, and guests were given lifejackets to take home.
Guests who wore fancy dress included DJ Mark Ronson, her best pal the comedian Alan Carr, film director Sam Taylor-Johnson and actor Aaron Paul.
There was some criticism over the apparent celebration — given that at least 1,500 people died in the real disaster.
She said: ‘I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the next 30 years as I’ve been blessed beyond words in my life so far.’

Earlier in the year she was ordained as a priest so that she could marry Alan Carr and his long-term boyfriend Paul Drayton at her home in Los Angeles.
A picture released by Adele shows her in ecclesiastical robes and standing in front of a wall of roses, a floral signature of Jeff Leatham.
Adele loves to go to gigs by singers such as Lady Gaga and Celine Dion, and this week said how excited she was about the forthcoming Spice Girls reunion dates next year.
She loved the band as a girl and now she is worth more than Sporty, Baby, Scary and Ginger Spice put together — they are reportedly worth around £80 million, while Adele’s fortune has skyrocketed to £140 million.
Rolling in the diamonds

Adele’s favourite item of jewellery at the moment seems to be a pretty Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra bracelet which has a delicate four leaf clover design.
She has it both in gold and onyx (£3,250) and in gold and carnelian (£3,600).
She wore the bracelet on stage at Glastonbury in 2016 but also has it on when she goes out for dinner locally, such as a recent trip to Nobu.
She likes gold, and delicate vintage-style designs such as a pair of Chloe Lysbeth earrings, costing £215.
For big events such as the Grammys she will often be seen in spectacular diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz (like the earrings, left) or Harry Winston, believed to be borrowed.
However she has been buying her own pieces too.
These apparently include a yellow eight-carat diamond ring with two smaller triangular white diamonds on each side, set in a platinum band, which has been estimated to cost £450,000; and a pair of radiant cut yellow diamond earrings from Harry Winston, worth £250,000.

Her stage clothes are bespoke by Chloe or by Burberry, and she has a particularly close relationship with the latter.
On her world tour she wore ten identical bespoke Burberry dresses in a Galaxy sequinned fabric in rotation.
Off-duty she wears a lot of plain black, although has a taste for eye-catching coats, such as the £5,000 Chloe shearling jacket she wore to have dinner with singer Bette Midler in London.
Her favourite designers include Valentino, Lanvin, Chloe, The Row, Armani, Alice Temperley, Valentino and Frame, and she likes 1960s and 1970s references.
Her L.A.-based stylist Gaelle Paul works with her for everyday clothes as well as stage outfits.
In the summer of 2016, Adele finally settled in her ‘forever family home’: a colonial style mansion in Los Angeles.
It is huge — 6,600 square foot — with beautiful outdoor space for the singer, her husband Simon Konecki and their son Angelo, five. The house cost £7 million.
She lives relatively quietly in LA, but is seen regularly eating out at Nobu in Malibu and at the BOA steakhouse (where a porterhouse steak for two is £141) with old Etonian Konecki, who runs a charity.
She also owns two neighbouring mews houses in Kensington, West London, which cost her just over £11 million.
She’s said to have dropped a further £1.5 million on a house in London for her mother, Penny.

Reports in America suggest that she also still owns the £5 million beachside retreat in Malibu which she bought in 2015 to be her ‘winter retreat’ after falling for the view of the Pacific Ocean from the infinity pool.
All of which means that Adele, raised in a flat in West Norwood, South London, has a property empire worth around £24.5 million.
And she seems to be thinking of adding to it. In December last year she was seen touring three apartments in Chelsea, West London, including a £30 million pad with seven bedrooms in a high-tech block with 24-hour security.
