Rashard Davis is wide receiver and punt returner with the Philadelphia Eagles
For the second consecutive year Rashard Davis held his annual football camp at Charlottesville high school.
Over 100 kids registered for the camp and more than 50 turned out for the camp, which Davis said was more than last year.
Kids ranged from ages 8 to 16.
Davis is a Charlottesville high school graduate.
He also won a national championship at James Madison and a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles
Davis says the main goal of the camp was teach kids different drills and how to play the game of football safely.
“The kids came out, they were ready to work,” says Davis. “They came out full speed on every drill. They went hard in every drill and that’s all we can ask for, for them to not give up and come out. They all said they had fun. I brought out some guys who I knew, really knew the game real well, so we can just give the kids that edge really early on in life, just to show them this is how you play the game, its really fun but you can also be safe at the same time.”
