Preserving nature

We should take care of our natural beauty ourselves and keep our beaches neat and clean

KARACHI: Beaches are a place where people go to take a break from their hectic routine life. Churna Island is one such beautiful place located in the province of Sindh. However, the water in the Island has been polluted owing to an oil spill.

The island is not just a lifeline for the local fishermen community living nearby but also a popular place for scuba diving and snorkelling for local and international tourists.

The Pakistan Navy and NGOs have begun an operation to clear the oil spill. They are also cleaning the beach because irresponsible visitors have littered it with rubbish. I would like to request the visitors that it is also their responsibility to keep the place they visit clean. We should take care of our natural beauty ourselves and keep our beaches neat and clean.
