Prep Roundup: GA boys soccer routs Bradwell 8-1


The Glynn Academy boys soccer team picked up an 8-1 win Friday at home against Region 2-6A foe Bradwell Institute.

The Red Terrors got seven goals from six different players, with Bradwell also contributing an own goal to the total.

Clay Watkins scored twice for Glynn with Ivan Ruvalcaba, Ben Alexander, Chase Gabriel, Brandon Dunn and Adam Weaver each tallying a goal. Gray Sasser led the Terrors with two assists with Watkins, Max Hammann, Truman Antah, Nikki Gonzalez and Joel Preston each totaling an assist.

Glynn (8-1-1 overall, 4-1 region) will host Richmond Hill on Tuesday. Richmond Hill is the only team to hand the Terrors a loss this season, beating Glynn 2-1 in Richmond Hill in February.

The Glynn Academy boys golf team shot a 320 at the Viking Classic at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta on Saturday.

Gray Johnston led the Terrors with a 77. Pope Arline was next with an 80 while Caleb Weese (81) and Bobby Hrdlicka (81) rounded out the scoring.

The Terrors’ next tournament is March 26 at Savannah Golf Club.
