Piers Morgan and his celebrity feuds, as he clashes with Ariana Grande and Little Mix

Ariana Grande isn’t the first celebrity Piers Morgan has had a scrap with online, after the two butted heads of the Good Morning Britain presenter’s views on Little Mix’s Strip music video.

In the heated clash last night, Ariana first came for Piers after her mother Joan stepped in with her own thoughts on the journalist’s distaste for Little Mix doing their thing.

Piers said to Mama Grande: ‘Hi Joan, my mother taught me to speak my mind & never be afraid to express honestly held opinion.

‘Ellen’s a hypocrite – and as for Little Mix, I’d just prefer they use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does…!’

Yes, Ellen DeGeneres was in there, too.

Anyway, that was never going to fly well for the Dangerous Woman, as Ariana wrote: ‘Ellen is an incredible & kind human being.. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because i choose to.

‘Women can be sexual AND talented. Naked and dignified. It’s OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand. I say this w all due respect but thank u, next.

‘Keep fighting the fight divas @LittleMix your sisters have your back.’

She wasn’t done, though, as she added: ‘Also @piersmorgan, I look forward to the day you realise there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do.

‘I think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it.’

OUCH!

Of course it comes after the OG battle between the presenter and Little Mix, after he demanded member Jesy Nelson apologise after she called him out on BBC Radio 1, after he suggested their message of body positivity was a thinly-veiled attempt to sell records.

So many ‘afters’ – so much to unpack.

It’s not the first time Piers has got into a scuffle with a celeb, be it on Twitter, or on the GMB couch.

Let’s take a look, shall we?

Chrissy Teigen

These two go way back. For years we’ve been following the back and forth of model Chrissy (who also has had plenty warring words with President Donald Trump – who seems close to Piers) and the presenter as they argue over everything, but mostly feminism.

Which, as you’ll see from a few of these posts, is a running theme…

Way back in 2016, they got into a thing when they both called one another clickbait hunters that were using one another for exposure and boy there was a lot to unpack.

It ended with Piers saying Chrissy’s husband, John Legend, was a genius so he’d forgive her.

Chrissy didn’t really care, though.

She then waded into the Ariana beef this week, though, as she referenced Piers’, er, appendage.

It’s really too early for all of this.

She wrote: ‘Every time someone mentions piers, his dick gets another power boil and his nips cry tears of joy.’

Piers questioned whether he’d be able to get away with such a comment to a female and really, everyone, please just stop.

Kim Kardashian

Again, the back and forth has been an ongoing ping pong match, with the presenter calling out the reality star on numerous occasions for using her body how she sees fit (see, a running theme), figuring it another cheap ploy for sales.

Kim fired back in February, as she gifted the GMB host her fragrance, because she wanted her ‘haters’ to receive some love as well.

Piers responded by saying he, too, would send his own bottle, Provocateur, to his frenemies.

However, while he continued to drag the family during GMB segments, last month he really wasn’t a fan of Kim posting naked shots to her Instagram right after news broke of the Pittsburgh shooting.

‘As America reels from a despicable mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Kim Kardashian posts this image to Twitter,’ he wrote.

‘Delete it, @KimKardashian – if you have a shred of decency left.’

She did delete it, but we’re not sure if it was because of Piers’ comment.

Emily Ratajkowski

Piers Morgan seems to bring up model Emily at least once a week, suggesting she should wear more clothes nor not post clips of her eating spaghetti in her bra and pants, the classic catchcry.

But she hits back, in turn, as she did way back in 2016.

After he asked whether she needed him to buy her clothes because she looked freezing in a naked shot for Harper’s Bazaar, she retorted: ‘thanks, but I don’t need clothes as much as you need press.’

JK Rowling

These two came to blows on social media over Donald Trump, however it got really heated in the Hogwarts dining hall after JK tweeted: ‘Yes, watching Piers Morgan being told to fuck off on live TV is *exactly* as satisfying as I’d always imagined.’

That was after Piers made an appearance with Jim Jeffries on TV show Real Time With Bill Maher.

Piers replied: ‘This is why I’ve never read a single word of Harry Potter.’

However, JK then quipped: ‘Because you had a premonition that one day the author would roar with laughter at seeing you called out for your bullshit on live TV?’

And. It. Just. Kept. Going.

Then, in true Spencer Morgan fashion, Piers’ son diffused the tension with one message:

Lily Allen

The hate between these two has spilled well over in Twitter, with many a slinging match between the award-winning singer and Piers, which appeared to kick off big time after he called her out for wearing a machine gun necklace.

Piers then announced he refused to interview the singer until she became a ‘hit’ after the mother-of-two released a video revealing she’d been cut from the programme.

‘Hi Lily, I told the team I wouldn’t interview you until or if your new album is a hit. So, probably never,’ he sniggered. ‘Sorry to disappoint, love Piers.’

Did Lily care? Not one iota.

‘There would be no incentive to come and talk to you if an album was already a commercial success,’ she quipped.

‘That’s not how promotion works. Nice try though, we all know you’re a p**** who can’t back it.’

It came after Lily explained how her appearance on the ITV show had been cancelled.

‘So my album No Shame is out in a couple of days and we’ve been putting together my promo schedule and the first people that asked me to come on the TV was Good Morning Britain last week,’ she alleged.

‘Then this morning, Good Morning Britain called up my people and said, “After Lily and Piers’ Twitter spat, would Lily like to cancel coming on the show?”

‘To which which I responded: “No! Of course not! What? You think I’m scared of Piers Morgan?”’

She added: ‘Anyway, that message went back and I just got the news that I was cancelled because Piers don’t want that smoke!’

Chris Evans

The mighty Captain America is no fan of Piers, after the presenter slammed James Bond star Daniel Craig for carrying his child in a papoose.

Piers faced the wrath of the internet for deigning to suggest such a move was emasculating, however Hollywood actor Chris was having none of it.

The 37-year-old tweeted: ‘You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child.

‘Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.’

Piers seemed unrattled, replying: ‘Captain America wouldn’t wear a papoose.’

Amber Rose

Piers previously labelled Amber’s social media posts ‘Pathetic, attention-seeking bullshit’. And when she posted a naked shot of herself, because she wanted to, he wrote: ‘Put it Away luv. Thanks.’

Then the two engaged in a witty back and forth and by witty, many described them as flirty and filthy.

Which, according to Amber, is all due to the fact he fancies her.

‘Does he fancy me? Of course he does! That’s why he had to down me in order to feel superior,’ she told Closer magazine.

‘I offend him because of his toxic masculinity and narcissistic personality disorder.’

She added: ‘I’m not mad at him. My goal was never to embarrass him, just to bring awareness to his toxic behaviour’.

Adam Hills

Australian comedian Adam Hills didn’t hide his disdain for Piers when he cancelled his appearance on his show The Last Leg.

However, the brave man accepted an interview on GMB where he came face to face with Piers and the two had quite the awkward chat.

He brought up Ewan McGregor cancelling his appearance on the show, as Adam said: ‘Honestly, last night at 9 o’clock, if I’d looked at my diary and gone, “Oh I have to sit on a coach with Piers Morgan tomorrow”, I would say no too.’

However, when Piers’ co-host Susanna said Adam was still on the couch with Piers, he hit back: ‘Well because you’re here! If this show was Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan you would never have a guest.’

Cue three minutes of awkward back and forth.
