You didn’t hear LaAdrian Waddle’s name much the last few years, and for an offensive lineman that is a good thing.
The veteran swing tackle wasn’t a starter, but over his two-plus years with the team started seven games filling in due to injury and did a nice job. The 27-year-old was a free agent and will not be returning to New England.
Waddle signed with the Bills on Saturday, per Buffalo. He came over from the Lions in 2015 and was really one of the more underrated players on the team.
The Patriots will definitely now need to be active on the free agent market looking for a veteran swing tackle, especially for insurance behind Isaiah Wynn. Wynn will likely take over at left tackle after missing his rookie season because of a torn Achilles.
