On this week’s DriveChicago:  A discussion on what impact the midterm elections could have on auto industry regulations, safety and incentives.

DriveChicago GM Mark Bilek tells us what he thought about driving the Genesis G80 sport. “Now, they’ve put polish on it and made it a serious competitor for those that are looking for a luxury sedan, with a dash of sport, but don’t want to break the bank,” said Bilek.

Our Jim Obrill traveled to Las Vegas and reports back to us on what he saw at the SEMA show. “SEMA, in a nutshell, is kind of a roulette of cars shows.  One minute you’re looking at drifting vehicles, the next you’ve got custom real-life Hot Wheels.  You walk in a hall – there’s the new Ranger and the new Blazer on display and then in the next one you’ve got some vintage Land Cruisers or old Datsuns that are just in pristine, original condition. So, there’s everything,” said Obrill.

DriveChicago airs every Saturday at 8 a.m.
