The film will conclude The Infinity Saga.
Marvel Studios has released the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame.
The plot synopsis, which was announced in a press release reads:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Marvel Studios’ head Kevin Feige told Empire in their latest issue that the first 22 movies in the MCU – or the first three phases – will be called The Infinity Saga once Avengers: Endgame is released.
Avengers: Endgame marks the close of the three-phase arc in the MCU that began in 2008 with the first Iron Man movie.
As the trailers have previously shown and the film’s synopsis now confirms, the final installment will focus on the surviving Avengers to fight once more against Thanos.
