Man Shot, Killed at Sumter County Auto Shop


Sumter, SC (WLTX) – Sumter County deputies are searching for a suspect who they say shot and killed a man at an auto shop Saturday afternoon.

Officers say around 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a shooting at Auto Doctors on South Pike East Road. When deputies got there, they found a man who’d been shot. The victim, who’s been identified as 34-year-old Sharmine Pack, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Witnesses say they saw the shooter drive up to the store, and then moments later, they heard at least one gunshot. The shooter then left the scene.

The witnesses said they didn’t hear any arguing before the shooting.

Officers say they believe the shooting is an isolated incident.
