The logic of sticking a six-metre high balloon caricature of the president of the United States over Westminster Palace goes something like: here’s a grown man who doesn’t seem to govern in response to strangers screaming abuse at him (which is strange, as that’s how most adults engage with weighty policy discussions), so perhaps outright mockery will get his attention.
We’ll have some traditional protests too, so the placard and markers lobby doesn’t get upset, and to make sure we create an unmistakably unfriendly atmosphere.
