Free film series Cinema Under the Stars opens at WNPAC




The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center offers a free way to beat the heat with its inaugural Cinema Under the Stars, which begins Saturday.

This series will take place once a month during the summer under the venue’s indoor night sky full of stars.

In addition to the featured entertainment, visitors can enjoy dining from onsite food trucks and beverages for sale. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the first movie screening at noon.

Although free, guests must reserve tickets for admission either at the box office or online at wagnernoel.com.

The Cinema Under the Stars schedule features the following:

Saturday | “Marvel Blockbusters” ​

Noon: “The Avengers”

3:30 p.m.: “Avengers: Age of Ultron”

7 p.m.: “Captain America: Civil War.”


July 21 | “Back to the Future Trilogy”

Noon: “Back to the Future”

3:30 p.m.: “Back to the Future Part II

7 p.m.: “Back to the Future Part III”

Aug. 18 | “’80s Classics”

Noon: “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982)

3:30 p.m.: “The Karate Kid” (1984)

7 p.m. “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986)
