Carlos Ghosn Was Too Powerful, Nissan’s CEO Says

TOKYO—Nissan Motor Co.’s chief executive told employees Monday that Carlos Ghosn had too much power as chairman because he also led Renault SA, Nissan’s largest shareholder, according to a partial transcript of the talk.

Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa was addressing employees for the first time since Mr. Ghosn was arrested a week ago in Tokyo.
