Williams High School has named a new girls’ soccer coach.

Tracy Abbatecola takes over as the coach for the Bulldogs (4-8).

Daniel Martin was relieved of his duties earlier this month as the coach for unspecified reasons, an Alamance-Burlington School System spokeswoman said Wednesday.

ABSS spokeswoman Jenny Faulkner said Martin’s last day as soccer coach was April 5.

“Reasons for change in extra duty positions are not considered public record by state statute,” Faulkner wrote in an email response.

Martin remains employed as a teacher at the school.
