Arrests after raids carried out in Dublin as part of investigation into drugs link to Australia

A number of arrests have been made during a series of raids in Dublin, which were carried out in connection with a cocaine dealing operation in Australia with links to a criminal gang here.

At least six premises have been searched so far and over €200,000 has been seized.

It is understood arrests have also been made in Australia in the past few weeks.

Gardaí believe that cocaine is being sold in Australia and the money is being funnelled back here to be laundered.

The investigation is being carried out by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, which is investigating the activities of the Kinahan crime gang.

The searches are continuing
