24-hour gaming event raises money for children’s hospital

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) – Gamers played for 24 hours straight to raise money for Penn State Children’s Hospital. 

The event was ‘Extra Life’, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital fundraising program.

A group of local gamers began playing Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and stopped on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

Current and former patients of Penn State Children’s Hospital were there to cheer them on.

Across the country, the Extra Life game day marathon is expected to involve 50,000 gamers.
